Difference Between Accent and Assent

There are many words in the English Language with similar spelling (or) pronunciation but having different meanings.

Meaning of Accent

a mark used as a superscript to indicate the first derivative of a variable

Meaning of Assent

to agree to something

to accept the proposal to do something

For Example:

  1. The little girl gave her assent to eat the ice cream.
  2. Priya assented to marry Pritam.
  3. The workers gave their assent to follow their leader.
