Rules of Using Future Continuous Tense

Future Tense is used to determine the action of a verb that is going to happen in the future. The sentences in this case are formed, mostly by using the auxiliary verbs “will” & “shall” and their derivatives.

 

Future  Continuous Tense takes the structure:

a. Ram + will/shall be + going + to the market.
b. They + will/shall be + sleeping + early at night.

c. I + will/shall be + eating + the cake.

Here, ( v1 + ing ) represents the Continuous form of the verb. Read Now:

Rule 1 – Actions continuing in future

Future Continuous Tense is used to express an action which will go on at sometime in the future.

 

For Example:

  1. She will be sleeping at 10 O’clock tonight.
  2. My brother will be watching the movie tomorrow.
  3. We shall be visiting our relatives soon.

Rule 2 – Fixed plan in future

Future Continuous Tense is used to express a certain programme or plan in future.

 

For Example:

  1. She will be coming back on Monday.
  2. The criminals will be robbing the bank next month.
